About Aaron Porzio-Diaz, PMHNP-BC
Aaron Porzio-Diaz is an ANCC board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner across the lifespan. He received his Masters of Science in Nursing from D'Youville University, in Buffalo, New York, his hometown. Prior to being a Nurse Practitioner, Aaron worked in various critical care settings including Neuro-ICU, Cardiovascular ICU, Medical ICU and Surgical ICU. This experience allows Aaron to view clients from a whole-body approach and critically think to help determine the best treatment modalities for his clients.
Aaron began his mental health career in Buffalo, NY at a local community clinic called Spectrum Health and Human Services where he served clients from ages 6 to end-of-life. Aaron has experience managing a multitude of various mental health disorders including but not limited to: Depression, Bipolar, ADHD, Anxiety, Trauma, and Psychosis. He works closely with Dr. Cichowicz to provide Interventional Psychiatry modalities to manage Treatment Resistant Depressive including Spravato, sublingual Ketamine and TMS services.
His experience working with a diverse patient population helped him to develop a standard of care focused on patient quality, safety, and autonomy. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the International Psychiatric Association and the American Journal of Psychiatry.
